Microdot At Salford Lad's Club

On Saturday the 26th of November 2022 the 'Microdot History Tour' will conclude with its final date, a fund raising gig, at the legendary Salford Lad's Club.
This will be the last venue we will visit this year and there are no plans to add more shows.
The iconic venue, popularised by The Smiths on their 1986 album 'The Queen Is Dead' and incredibly situated on Coronation Street (for real!!) will be host to the Microdot travelling show for the day. The Lad's Club has been in constant use since 1904 and is an incredibly valuable resource for the local community - we are proud to support The Salford Lad's Club registered charity.

The event follows on from the sell out smash hit success Microdot shows at King Tuts in Glasgow and The Water Rats in London, two venues permanently etched into Oasis history.
So what can attendees expect?
The all seated event is limited to 100 tickets, (for sale exclusively via the Microdot website HERE) and begins with a presentation by Microdot founder Brian Cannon who tells the unlikely but true story how an 11 year old working class kid from Wigan had a dream to design record sleeves for the biggest bands of his generation, then with no money, no experience and no contacts actually managed to pull it off! Brian established Microdot in 1990 and went on to create record sleeves for everything released by both Oasis and The Verve in 90s as well as artwork for Ash, Cast, Suede, Super Furry Animals and many, many more. The accreditation 'Designed at Microdot' adorns over 75 million record sleeves worldwide.

After the presentation, which lasts about an hour and is accompanied by visuals, there will be a short break for drinks before Brian returns to the stage for a live Q & A session hosted by legendary bon viveur Raymond Borland. Raymond will pose questions to Brian before throwing it wide open to the audience who are encouraged to participate.

The world famous Microdot Boutique makes an appearance in Pop-up-Shop form, specially constructed exhibition panels, painted the same colour scheme as the Boutique itself, host an array of Microdot's work for Oasis, The Verve, Ash, Cast, SFA and more - all of which is for sale before and after the show.
The Salford Lad's Club is an incredible time capsule with many original features.
